Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Ranked number 29 on The Hockey News' list of the 100 Greatest Hockey Players, Henri Richard served as Montreal captain from 1971 until his retirement in 1975, with two of his major accomplishments scoring the Stanley Cup-winning goals in both 1966 and 1971. We have a trio of items signed by the legendary Pocket Rocket, with a Canadiens jersey, photo and puck. The jersey was produced by Reebok, with “XL” labeling along with a tackle twill team crest and numbers, with “Richard” across the nameplate in single white twill. Henri has signed the reverse “1” in blue marker, and the signature presents nicely, with just some minor bleeding. Next, the photo is 11” x 14” and on glossy stock, with the youthful eleven-time Stanley Cup champion pictured with the Cup, with a bold blue sharpie signature added over his image. Finally, the puck is an InGlasCo model, with Richard signing over the Habs logo in silver, adding “11 Cups” beneath. The signature stands out beautifully, with just very light handling wear to the puck. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
