Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
All sorts of neat old goodies for you to consider here, with Esso Power Players and Toronto Sun photos leading the way. Two hardcover ’70-71 Esso Power Player albums include one complete and one almost complete, with however condition not tiptop; both album covers have separated on the interior, with one of them with a messy scotch tape repair job. Still fun to flip through, as are some 100 loose stamps, with some stars (Howe, Perreault (3), Horton, Hall, etc.) present. On the subject of stamps, 6 strips of NHL Action stamps from ’74-75 are the “Acme” version, with a likeness of Bobby Orr on the “cover” of the 8-stamp panels. Toronto Sun photos from ’71-72 are well-anchored in their special albums from the day, with one post-it affixed to one of them reading “275 out of 294”, while the album labelled “267 traders” includes duplication. Handling wear, mostly edge wear, is to be aware of, but again, a hoot to peruse, with players’ full names featured. There are two unopened boxes (48 packs per box) of ’87-88 OPC Leaders (mini cards) that could also provide some fun. One 10-cent (’76-77) OPC wrapper, (2) 15-cent jobs, a 20-cent and three different 25-cent wrappers are present, with Kraft albums from ’90-91 (looks complete) and 1999-2000 (torn cover and incomplete), OPC sticker albums (’81-82s (2) are complete and missing one sticker, ’82-83 is missing one sticker) and five late-‘80s Esso albums, (three look complete, one is incomplete, one is empty) complete the booty. Like we like to say, “lots of possibilities” with this stash.
