Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
One of the greatest venues in the history of North American sports, Maple Leaf Gardens opened their doors in the fall of 1931, with the Toronto Maple Leafs their chief resident. The famous arena would conclude use at the close of the 20th century, in 1999. We have a roughly 11” x 14 ½” photo that celebrate’s the historic arena, with a collage of images including a visit from the Queen along with the famous Bill Barilko Stanley Cup winner in 1951. Signers include Ted Kennedy, Maurice Richard, Red Kelly, Frank Mahovlich and Johnny Bower, with each signing in silver. With no issues for the signatures, this especially attractive piece is awaiting a quality frame. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
