Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

A Jean Beliveau rookie card is all that's missing for these two groups to be able to boast completeness, but there's not much else to brag about in this low, low grade offering, with creases and wear throughout and Poor and Fair cards comprising the vast majority. The multi/heavily creased Rocket Richard card is among the worst of the 1953-54s, while star/key cards displaying the best, despite creases, are Gump Worsley RC, Tim Horton and Doug Harvey, with toning and some paper loss on the front of the Gordie Howe example to mention. A positive is that all backs, with the exception of seven, (including 10-Nesterenko RC, 47-Delvecchio, 57-Howell RC and 92-Schmidt), are legible, with varying amounts of paper loss to note with the exceptions. Meanwhile, the '54-55 complete set is lesser and has a pulverized and barely-present Johnny Bower RC with Lucky Premium back. Trimming, multiple heavy creases, writing, tape stains, paper loss (reverse) and a one-inch tear are to be aware of. Some unsightly major flaws send the majority of the star power to Poor, while 15 cards have glue-stained or other back damage, notably seven of the action shots at the end, including #100. We count a grand total of 20 Lucky Premium backs. Lots of fun has been had with these over the years, with still some left for the new owner.
