Coached by legendary Leaf and Hall of Fame member Joe Primeau, we a large framed team photo of the 1949-50 Allan Cup-champion Marlboros, accompanied by a smaller 1948-49 Marlboros team photo. At approx 19 ½” x 29”, the full team is pictured including HOFer George Armstrong, along with Primeau and Harold Ballard, with the Allan Cup front and center. Framed to full dimensions of 24” x 33 ½”, photographer “Turofsky” is handwritten along the bottom right. The 1948-49 photo is 11” x 14”, also by Turofsky, with Armstrong, Primeau and Ballard again pictured, with the players all listed beneath the image.
The large 1949-50 team photo shows a bit of staining along the base, with light wear to the frame itself. The 1948-49 team photo exhibits heavy creasing, especially over each worn corner, with moderate toning also taking place.
