A group of wonderful vintage hockey team photos totaling 4 are offered, ranging from the 1920s to 1940s, including a desirable Rice image of the famous Montreal Victorias squad. First, the Victorias cabinet photo is 12 ½” x 15” (exposed) and from 1927-28 – a year that witnessed the club being the first to play matches in Europe along with being Allan Cup finalists, with Winnipeg star and 1932 Olympic gold medal winner Bill Cockburn in the Vics net. Framed to full dimensions of approx 14 ½” x 17” (no glass), the photo shows just very light surface wear, with additional wear to the frame. The second photo feature’s the 1921-22 Pt. Colborne Senior Hockey Club, with the original 11” x 13 ½” photo and mount affixed to a larger 16 ½” x 19” mount. Hailed as the “Champions of the Round’s Trophy Series” in the OHA, the photo and original mount show moderate surface and edge wear including a tear along with some material loss over the bottom left, with no issues for the larger mount. The third photo is a 5 ½” x 15 ½” (exposed) panoramic group shot of four different youth clubs, with “Regina Pats – Calgary Canadians – Winnipeg Tigers – Owen Sound Greys” written in pencil on the reverse, framed to approx 7” x 16 ¾”. The photo shows numerous wrinkles along with warping, with additional wear to the frame. The final photo captures the 1920-21 “Club Hockey Beaurivage”, labeled as “Champion des Clubs Amateurs Independants de la Province de Quebec”. At 10 ½” x 14” (exposed), the image remains fairly clean with toning, framed (no glass) to 12” x 16”, with moderate wear to the frame.
