Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Enjoying a lengthy career that included seeing action in the NHL, WHA and AHL, Mike Walton was a member of two Stanley Cup championships, with the Leafs in 1967, and the Bruins in 1972. Originating from his time with Vancouver, we have a team-signed stick used by the Kirkland Lake native in 1977-78. A Northland Registered Pattern model, “Shakey” is stamped over both sides of the shaft, with the original white-over-black tape job on the handle, with no tape ever placed on the blade. Showing nice use with puck marks over the blade and lower shaft, the backside of the shaft has been shaved down, with approx 21 signing in red marker including Walton, along with Ververgaert, Lever, Martin, Graves, Gillis, Monahan, Alexander, O’Flaherty, Gassoff, McIlhargey, Ridley, Maniago and others.
