Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
The original and first pucks designed by Art Ross that saw NHL use after Spalding, we have a pair of CCM Art Ross Tyer examples, with each bearing the orange rubberized NHL logos. Used throughout the premier league from approx 1942 to 1950, each of the offered pucks have intact crests, with one puck having the bottom right corner of the logo damaged, with otherwise light to moderate surface wear to the puck itself, while the second example has a few dark edges on the logo, with heavier wear to the puck including a number of indentation marks and heavy edge chipping over the reverse. As an added bonus, we also have a third puck included, with this Denver Spurs WHA puck hailing from circa 1975-76. The rubberized team crest is intact and displays well, with a pair of surface bubbles, with the screened-on WHA logo over the reverse heavily worn. The puck itself just exhibits light surface wear throughout.
