Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
The one and only number 99 used this Gretzky Silver Tip Easton gamer during the 1996-97 season, when he had 25 goals and 97 points in his Rangers debut. This stick is a rare find because Gretzky, who added 10 goals and 20 points in 15 playoff games, switched to Hespeler sticks not long after joining the Broadway Blue Shirts. Gretzky's tape job remains on the Easton "Gretzky" wood blade insert and his foam Gripper is intact on the knob. The Rangers' red, white and blue color scheme is incorporated into the "Gretzky" graphics on this dark grey Easton two-piece stick's aluminum shaft, which features a shiny "silver tip" at the bottom of the shaft. Gorgeous Gretzky gamer with a black mark on the toe of the blade.
