Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Only the second player in MLB history to hit a home run for his 3,000th hit – with Wade Boggs being the first, Derek Jeter accomplished the feat on July 9, 2011, with Tampa Bay Rays’ ace David Price the victim. We have a framed photo signed by Price, acknowledging his status as the man who allowed Jeter his milestone. At 15" x 19”, Jeter is seen in the foreground after the hit as he makes his way to first base, with Price visible in the background. Price has signed near his image in blue marker, adding “I gave up DJs 3k”. Double matted and framed to full dimensions of 24 ½” x 28 ½”, an MLB hologram numbered “669901 FJ” has been affixed over the lower left, with a second hologram from Steiner over the lower right, with just light wear to the frame including a few scratches.
