Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Worn proudly as a Stanley Cup champion, we have a matching cufflinks and tie pin set hailing from the personal collection of Don Simmons, with these most likely originating from either 1962-63 or 1963-64, along with a “maple leaf” tie and 1962-63 Toronto team photo. The cufflinks are oval-shaped, both approx ¾”, with a centered silver maple leaf encompassed by “Stanley Cup Champions” in raised letters, with “10KG” stamped over each reverse. The tie pin is similarly shaped/sized, with matching leaf and text, with “Birks 10K” over the reverse, with the complete set weighing approx 25 grams. The team photo is 7 ½” x 9 ¼”, affixed to a 13” x 14” folder, while the tie is in solid navy blue, with a white maple leaf pattern throughout. An LOA from the Simmons family will accompany.
The tie pin and cufflink set all show just very light wear and remain in gorgeous condition, with a few very minor marks to the team photo, and just minimal surface wear to the presentation folder. The tie also shows just minimal wear, with no marks or staining.
