Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A fixture in the venerable Maple Leaf Gardens and sold during the landmark 2000 auction as lot #483, we have an original ticket taker box, with this relic witness to an endless parade of deposited Toronto hockey tickets for decades. At 25 ½” in length and 10” wide, with steel box feature’s a pair of hooking arms, with the top section funnel-shaped to easily accept inserted ticket portions. There is also a clasp over the front to secure and lock the box, with heavy paint chipping and considerable rusting throughout. Despite the condition, this historic piece is deserving of prominent placement within any advanced Leafs or MLG shrine. The original COA from the MLG auction is included, mounted behind plexiglass to a finished 10 ½” x 13” wooden plaque.
