Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Hockey’s most successful club, the Montreal Canadiens also played in the game’s most celebrated building in the Montreal Forum, with an endless plethora of historical relics, photos, trophies and displays once gracing the iconic venue. From the inner sanctuary of the Habs famous dressing room, we have a plaque celebrating the Stanley Cup-champion 1956-57 Canadiens that originally held a place of prominence. At 13” x 15” and constructed of solid finished beveled-edge wood, a Habs logo is centered along the top, with “1956” to the left, and “1957” to the right. The full team is listed in thick white paint including Harvey, Beliveau, Plante, Moore, Geoffrion and The Rocket. Just a few scratches and minor blemishes are present including over the reverse, with some wear to the Canadiens logo. An LOA will accompany.
