Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Demolished two decades ago, the famous Boston Garden housed both the Bruins and Celtics during the venue’s glory days, and was witness to a number of impressive concerts including the Beatles, Elvis and The Rolling Stones. We have a pair of connected orange seats from the Garden, ready for placement within your trophy room. At approx 31” x 36”, the solid orange seats feature the original cast construction with inserted wooden slats along with a single left arm rest, with “1” stenciled in white along the top of one seat back, “2” on the other. Hailing from one of hockey’s most storied buildings, we should note that special shipping arrangements may be required.
Heavy wear to the orange finish is present over both the metal and wood components, along with some minor rusting/oxidation, mostly over the lower sections. There is also a bit of yellow paint residue on seat “1”, with gum affixed to the underside of the seat. We should also note that both seats open, with seat “2” not quite sitting flush when fully opened.
