Taking place at the Pepsi Center on April 12, 2001, the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Vancouver Canucks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals, with Joe Sakic netting a pair for the Aves. Colorado would take the series in four. The stick retains the original white tape over the shaved handle/knob and black over the blade, with “1” handwritten on the knob, with this thought to signify the 1st playoff game of 2001. Bourque has signed over the heel in silver, and the signature displays well. A signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
A Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 model, “Bourque 77” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with “Handcrafted Exclusively for Raymond Bourque” on the underside. stick exhibits a crack at the toe, but remains completely solid. There is also some wear to the taped section of blade, with additional wear to the shaft.
