Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Well known for his predilection of the hip check, Kyle McLaren was selected 9th overall at the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Seeing action throughout his NHL career with both Boston and San Jose, the Humboldt native was a member of the All-Rookie Team in 1995-96. We have a signed stick used by McLaren during his time with Boston in the late-1990s. An Easton Ultra Lite Graphite model, the original ribbed white tape job is in place on the handle and knob (with handwritten “18”), with a new Nike blade later added to facilitate the large and attractive silver paint pen signature. The shaft shows considerable wear with dark streaks throughout, with additional wear to the handle tape which includes a few small tears/rips. Hailing from the personal collection of Ray Bourque, this stick will be accompanied by his signed LOA. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
