Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
From a Stanley Cup championship season where Joe Sakic was awarded the Hart Memorial, Lady Byng and Lester B. Pearson awards, we have a signed stick used by the Hall of Fame inductee to score his 52nd goal of the 2000-01 NHL season, with this historic gamer hailing from the collection of superstar and fellow Hall member, Ray Bourque. An Easton Synergy model, “19 Sakic” appears over the upper shaft, with the original black tape on the knob (the gauze wrap originally placed beneath is no longer present), with the blade tape removed to facilitate the signature. Showing nice use with considerable wear over the heel section and lower shaft, Sakic has signed across the blade in silver, adding "#52 April 7/01 vs Detroit". The signature displays well, with the historic stick accompanied by a signed LOA from Ray Bourque. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
