Featuring superstars from the Original Six era including four that are now deceased, we have a collection of nine sticks signed by Hockey Hall of Fame legends. Each stick is individually signed across the blade in marker, with the majority of limited-edition “Masters of Hockey” lumber including Brad Park (268/300), Dave Keon (177/350), Red Kelly (49/350), Bobby Hull (243/300), Henri Richard (274/350) and Andy Bathgate (278/300), with the remaining signed sticks to include Maurice Richard (youth-sized Cooper model, signed on the lower shaft), Yvan Cournoyer (Sher-Wood Custom Pro model stick) and Gump Worsley (Bauer model goal stick 283/300). Holograms have been affixed to each stick, with each accompanied by a matching LOA.

The signatures in the collection all display nicely, with just a few light smudges to The Rocket signature. The sticks themselves show light handling wear.

AUCTION RULES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE BIDDING PLATFORM

(the “Terms and Conditions”)

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING

20% Buyer’s premium - all bidding done in USD currency

ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONS:

The auctions on this website are presented by Classic Auctions Inc. ("Classic Auctions"). All auctions shall be conducted under these Terms and Conditions and applicable federal and local provincial or state law, depending on your jurisdiction of origin. Any person participating in or who registers for an auction (hereinafter "Bidders") agrees to be bound by and accept these Terms and Conditions. Classic Auctions shall have authority to interpret these Terms and Conditions to the extent permitted by applicable law. Items forming part of every auction are sold to the highest bidder in an "AS IS" and “AS AVAILABLE” condition. Placement of a bid in an auction on this website (the “Website”) constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and your acknowledgement and agreement that you are bound by the terms below.

VERY IMPORTANT:

Due to size constraints and the cost factor in the print version of most catalogs, we are unable to include all pictures on every single lot in the auction. In addition to being able to view all auction items on your computer, we are pleased to offer a full interactive digital catalogue which can be displayed on tablets (i.e iPads) and other such mobile devices. Please note that not every event held by Classic Auctions will have a physical printed catalogue, but our Website will have many more photos and information added on most of the items offered thereon (www.classicauctions.net).

REGISTRATION:

Bidders who have already registered in the past do not need to do so again. Usernames and passwords will remain valid, unless otherwise terminated in accordance to the terms herein. Bidders who have forgotten their passwords should simply contact us by phone or by email. You may register online at www.classicauctions.net or by phone at (450) 638-7058. New bidders are required to register before the date specified on the relevant auction page of the Website.

ACCOUNT SECURITY:

You are the sole authorized user of your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any username, password and account provided by you or us for accessing the Website and any bidding features accessible therefrom. You are solely and fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account.  For greater certainty, any Bidder must bid on any auctions through his own account only, and may not share their login credentials with anyone else. Classic Auctions has no control over the use of any Bidder’s account by the Bidder or third parties and expressly disclaims any liability derived therefrom. Should you suspect that any unauthorized party may be using your password or account, or you suspect any other breach of security or other unauthorized or unusual activity on your account, you must contact us immediately.

BIDDING START:

You may begin bidding as soon as the bidding process for the auction is open on our Website. Phone bids will be accepted at (450) 638-7058 from Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. On the final week of an auction, our office hours will be increased for your convenience, at our discretion and to the extent possible.

BUYER'S PREMIUM:

The bid amounts placed in an auction on our Website are also referred to as the “hammer prices”. A Buyer’s premium will be added to the winning bid (the hammer price) and is payable by the purchaser as part of the total purchase price. The Buyer’s premium for the auction will be 20% if payment is made by cashier’s check, bank draft, certified check, money order, wire transfer, cash, or by credit card (Visa or MasterCard accepted only) up to $7,500 CAD / USD for returning Bidders only, within 14 days of the date of invoice.

AUCTION CLOSING:

You must place an initial bid on an item before 11:00 PM on auction closing night to be eligible to bid on that item during the extended bidding period that starts at 11:00 PM. This means that if you have not bid on a particular lot before 11:00 PM you may not bid on that lot after 11:00 PM. Therefore, if you are the only bidder on a lot at 11:00 PM you will be instantly declared the winner.

At 11:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time), the “30-Minute Rule” starts to run and each lot will close individually after that lot goes 30 minutes with no new bids. Whenever a new bid is placed on a lot, the 30-minute timer will be reset and the countdown will restart for that particular lot. If you are the current high bidder on a lot and you change your ceiling bid after 11:00 PM, this will not extend the bidding time, only a bid placed by another bidder or a higher "straight bid" placed by the current high bidder will reset the ending time on that lot.

Bidders need to monitor their “My Account” page to see the current status of lots that they are bidding on during extended bidding. If you are outbid, you will be notified by email (please be sure your settings are set to receive outbid notices). In the event that two bids of the same increment are placed on an item, the first bid will be honored. Classic Auctions reserves the right to edit the closing rules of any auction due to the size of the auction or any technical issues that may occur. Classic Auctions will email the bidders if there is any change in the closing procedure that deviates from the above. Classic Auctions is not responsible if an individual user has unsubscribed from our notification emails and therefore does not receive the closing update email. Our auctions generally go on well into the night, if you do not want to stay up late please refer to “placing absentee bids” paragraph below.

ABSENTEE BIDS:

We encourage early and absentee bidding if you are unable to bid by phone or internet and do not want to stay up late on the final day of the auction. Absentee bids can be left on our Website. Classic Auctions will place bids on your behalf up to these amounts only as they are bid against competitively by other bidders. All absentee bids will be treated in the order they are received. If we receive two absentee bids of the same amount, the first one received will be the standing bid. For clarity, if a Customer has the current high bid at $5,000 and has placed an absentee bid of $10,000, if another bid comes in ($6,000), that Customer’s absentee bid will automatically kick in and raise the high bid to $6,600. This will continue until that Customer’s absentee bid has been outbid. If there are no other bids, the Customer will win the lot for $6,600, plus the Buyer’s premium. A 20% Buyer’s premium will be added to all winning bids. All absentee bidding will remain confidential.

BIDDING INCREMENTS:

Items will be sold to the highest bidder at the time the auction closes. Each bid can be no lower than the "RESERVE", or minimum, bid (in USD funds) listed in the online and print (when available) versions of the auction catalog. For a bid to stand on an item which has already been bid on, the current high bid must be raised by a 10% increment. As an example, if the current bid on a lot is $500.00, the person bidding next must bid at least $550.00 for their respective bid. Another bidder at that point would need to make a bid of $605.

CALL BACKS:

Classic Auctions will be offering a call back service to the bidders. You can request a "call back" on any lots that you have bid on. If your bid has been topped, we will give you a call to let you know. We cannot guarantee that we will call you back because of the nature of some auctions. Please check on your items regularly if you want to ensure being called back. We also suggest that you use the absentee bid as a further assurance that your bids are protected. Make sure you leave us the correct information on how to reach you for the call backs that will begin at 9:00 PM of the closing date. Classic Auctions shall not be responsible for any lost auctions or any other alleged damages or prejudice caused to a Bidder in case of an untimely or missing call-back.

WINNING BIDS AND SHIPPING:

As specified above, A 20% Buyer’s premium will be added to each item on your invoice. Winning bidders are responsible for the shipping and handling costs which include shipping, packing and materials. Winning bidders are also responsible for any other costs related to shipping: customs, duties, taxes or brokerage that might become payable upon delivery. Shipping is calculated using the dimensional weight of the final package(s) and may vary according to the destination and shipping method. Upon demand, we can provide you a shipping quote using your destination city and postal code (zip code). Please note that shipping cost does not include insurance. Such insurance, if available, can be added to your invoice upon request by email or phone.

All items in Canada will be shipped using ground or air service via Purolator unless prior arrangements have been made. Please note that couriers will not deliver to Post Office Boxes (PO Boxes). All items going to the United States will be shipped using ground or air service via Express Postal Services, DHL or Fedex. Please be advised that some shipments may require the use of a Custom Broker and an ultimate consignee identification number to clear customs. This requirement was introduced on October 1st 2004 by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in order to target shipments for closer scrutiny and anti-terrorism purposes. Please contact us for more information. All items shipped to International destinations will be shipped using air service via Express Postal Services. All packages will be sent with a tracking number.

Some items can also be picked up, by appointment only, directly at our offices located at 215, St-François-Xavier, Suite #104 in Delson, Quebec, Canada. In such case there will be no shipping charge but the item does need to be prepaid in order to pick it up. Please contact our office to make pick-up arrangements. Canadian residents must add 5% GST tax to their invoice including shipping. Quebec residents must add the 9.975% provincial tax on top of GST and shipping. Residents of Ontario must add the 13% HST to their invoice. Residents of Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New-Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador must add the 15% HST to their invoice.

All items will be accompanied with a strict 10-day return policy which is only valid if the description of the item was not proper. This return policy is only valid if the lot purchased was fully paid within 14 days of the auction closing. Before shipping the item back, you must contact us directly within 10 days of receipt at [email protected] or by phone at (450) 638-7058 to provide a description of your issue with the item. All lots returned must be complete and contain all items that were advertised within the auction. We will respond to confirm if your item qualifies under the return policy. If the item has been graded or authenticated by a third party, including grading companies, returns will not be accepted. No guarantee of grade is offered for uncertified items sold and subsequently submitted to a third-party grading service. Items must be returned in their original holder and arrive at the Classic Auctions offices within 30 days. Shipping expenses and any taxes or duties will be paid by the winning Bidder.

We recommend that you ask all the important questions on the items before the final auction date to eliminate all risks of conflicts. Once again, returns will only be accepted if the merchandise received does not correspond to our description and for no other reason. Classic Auctions shall not be liable for breakage of glass or damage to frames (patent or latent); such defects, in any event, shall not be a basis for any claim for return or reduction in purchase price. Title shall not pass to the successful Bidder until all invoices are paid in full. It is the responsibility of the winning Bidder to provide adequate insurance coverage for the items once they have been delivered to a common carrier or third-party shipper.

SPORTS AND NON-SPORTS TRADING CARD RETURN POLICY:

All sales of trading cards (including, but not limited to, sports and non-sports cards) and game/events tickets encapsulated by a Third-Party Grading company (including, but not limited to, PSA, Beckett (BGS, BVG and BCCG) SGC, KSA and ACA) are final and not subject to return.

Classic Auctions does not guarantee that a lot graded by a specific Third-Party Grading will receive the same grade from another Third-Party Grading, all sales are final and not subject to return.

All sales of ungraded trading cards (including, but not limited to, sports and non-sports cards) are final and not subject to return. All lots of ungraded trading cards (including, but not limited to, sports and non-sports cards) are sold “as is” with no warranties as to the grades assessed by our specialized trading cards experts and copywriters.

We try to verify and accurately describe the content included in larger lots or sets of trading cards. Some description will say “set is assumed to be complete” which means that usually we will have checked if the key cards are there and that the set seems complete, this is usually only done for lots with multiple sets in them and sets of a lesser value, all vintage sets are thoroughly checked.  Potential bidders are encouraged to ask any and all questions prior to bidding, as the sale of each lot is on an "as-is" basis, and all sales are final and are not subject to return.

The population report information mentioned in the descriptions of the items encapsulated by a Third-Party Grading company may have changed since they have been researched and entered on the items’ descriptions and are always subject to change. Classic Auctions is not responsible for any such change which may have occurred.

AUCTION MANAGEMENT:

Classic Auctions reserves the right to remove any item from an auction at any time or to postpone or delay an auction for any reason without recourse from any Bidder or prospective Bidder. Any error in a listing or lot description, whether typographical, photographic or technical, will be dealt with at our discretion. The Website will always have the most detailed descriptions of all items on auction, as it can be updated at any time at our discretion. Please be sure to check the Website for the most detailed descriptions and product images. The website may be updated during the auction to provide additional images or product information. If there is an error in description that a winning bidder believes has occurred, they MUST CONTACT US WITHIN 14 DAYS OF RECEIVING PRODUCT to express their claim or concern. If we are contacted after 14 days, even in the event of a description error, the bidder shall have no recourse under these Terms and Conditions. Classic Auctions will handle these cases in a case by case basis at its sole discretion.

Classic Auctions reserves the right to rescind the sale of any item from an auction due to an adverse title or property claim from a third-party. If such disputed item is previously shipped at the moment of institution of the claim, the winning Bidder agrees to return the item in the same condition for a refund.

BID CANCELLATION AND FRAUD:

If Classic Auctions determines, in its sole discretion, that technical difficulties, fraud or unforeseen events compromise the integrity or viability of an auction, Classic Auctions reserves the right to void the bids at issue, and/or terminate the relevant portion of the auction, including the entire auction, and/or modify the auction. Classic Auctions does not assume responsibility for third parties' failure to act in accordance with these Terms and Conditions pertaining to the conduct of an auction.

No bidding by consignors, collusive bidding or shill bidding will be permitted.  Any type of bid manipulation is expressly forbidden.  Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, a consignor shall be prohibited from placing any bids on his or her consigned items, or otherwise arranging to have bids placed by third parties on his behalf on such consigned items.  Furthermore, no shill bidding is permitted.  Shill bidding is any bid placed by a person or persons to drive up the final price paid and realized without intent to actually take ownership of the lot.  Classic Auctions also prohibits any bids placed in a false name or with an invalid payment method, even if the software initially accepts such a bid.  Classic Auctions reserves the right to refer fraudulent bidders to the proper authorities for presentation.

PAYMENT:

Invoices will be sent by email to the winning bidders. Those who have not received their invoice within five (5) days of the auction’s closing should contact us. All winning bidders must pay for their items personally and through their individual bidding account and in no event may invoices be transferred to any third-party other than the winning bidder.

All invoices should be paid in full within 14 days of the close of the auction. Failure to pay invoices promptly will result in the suspension of your auction privileges. The unpaid balance of any invoice, which is not paid in full when due, will bear interest at the highest rate permitted by law, from the date of invoice until paid. Any invoice not paid when due (within 14 days of the close of the auction) will bear a 3% late fee on the invoice amount. If Classic Auctions refers any invoice to an attorney for collection, the winning Bidder agrees to pay attorney’s fees court costs, and other collection costs incurred by Classic Auctions. If Classic Auctions assigns collection to its in-house legal staff, such attorney’s time expended on the matter shall be compensated at a rate comparable to the hourly rate of independent attorneys. Methods of payment accepted are cashier’s checks, bank drafts, certified checks, money orders, wire transfers, cash, or by Visa or MasterCard credit card for invoices not exceeding $7,500 CAN / US for returning Bidders only. Credit cards will only be accepted for invoices paid in full within 14 days of the date of invoice. Please note that wire transfers for any amount less than $1,000 will be subject to a $20 processing fee. When sending payment by wire transfer for your invoice, please also ensure to cover any fees the issuing bank or intermediate bank may charge. Payment by Visa or MasterCard credit card is only for returning Bidders, and only if the full balance is paid before it is due. In other words, you will be allowed to pay your invoice with your Visa or MasterCard credit card if, and only if, you have already purchased something from us in the past and paid with another method of payment, or if you have consigned to Classic Auctions Inc. previously. Please note that in order to complete your payment by Visa or MasterCard credit card, the transaction must be made within the following 14 days after the closing day of the auction, and the invoice’s final total to be paid cannot exceed $7,500 CAN / US. Please contact us to provide you with a credit card authorization form and we will process your payment. New Bidders can still pay their account with our regular methods of payment for the initial invoice and will be eligible to use their Visa or MasterCard credit card in future auctions. Payments made using cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Bitcoin lightning, Ethereum, USDT-ERC 20 (Tether), USDT-TRC 20 (Tron)) are accepted and will incur an additional 0.5% fee. As for payments in Canadian dollars, as a favour to our Canadian resident Bidders, Classic Auctions will offer the possibility to pay your invoice in CAD currency and we will be using an average between the buying and selling rate of the US dollar at the time the auction closes. Classic Auctions reserves the right to request that an invoice be paid in USD currency by Canadian Bidders when the invoice total exceeds 25 000$. PayPal and personal checks are NOT accepted.

PREVIEWS:

Previews can be made available at the Classic Auctions office by appointment only. Previews will be made available as soon as you get your catalog or when the auction goes live on the Website. However, we will be more than happy to supply you with phone or emails descriptions (as time permits).

SILENT RESERVES:

A few lots in an auction are subject to a silent reserve; each of these lots will be marked as such in the auction catalog and on the Website and in such case, an auctioneer (someone specially mandated by Classic Auctions) may bid, manually or electronically, up to the bid below the reserve amount.

AUTHENTICITY:

We, at Classic Auctions have more than 60 years of combined experience in selling historical hockey and sports memorabilia as well as other collectibles. Since we take authenticating the items we offer for auction at hear, we exercise commercially best efforts in order to attempt to ensure that everything we sell is 100% authentic and sometimes require the assistance of outside authenticators. We recommend that the clients verify the authenticity of their merchandise and highly recommend that Bidders ask as many questions as possible prior to the auction closing if they have any doubts. However, Classic Auctions will be the final judge of the authenticity of every piece it sells. We are not bound by the opinion of outside authenticators and third-party experts. Letters of authenticity will be made available for lots which are indicated by LOA in this catalog. Lots indicated with LOA could also mean that there is a letter from a third party included with the lot. Please call us for more information on the above

NON-PAYMENT BY WINNING BIDDER:

Classic Auctions reserves the right to charge to the winning Bider’s credit card any balance remaining on his or her auction invoice 30 days after the date of the invoice without further notice to winning Bidder. Late or non-payment may result in the revocation of the possibility to place bids for future auctions hosted by Classic Auctions. When you are placing a bid on an item, you are entering a legally binding contract, indicating that you will pay for your items, plus the Buyer’s premium and any additional associated fees (sales tax, shipping, insurance, etc…).

Winning Bidder agrees to pay all of Classic Auctions’ costs, including attorney’s fees, incurred in attempting to collect any sums due to Classic Auctions from winning Bidder.

If a winning Bidder does not honor his or her bid with payment in full per these Terms and Conditions within 14 days of the clause of the auction, then it is agreed that Classic Auctions, may, at its sole discretion, sell the unpaid items and lots to the under bidder, offer the items and lots again in a future sale, or hold the defaulting Bidder liable for the entire purchase price. In either case, it is explicitly agreed that the non-paying winning Bidder will be responsible for any and all losses incurred, and also be responsible for all service charges and/or commissions related to the subsequent sale and that the non-paying winning Bidder explicitly agrees to pay any and all costs of collection including reasonable legal fees incurred by Classic Auctions in the collection of these losses if necessary. In addition, non paying winning Bidders understand that Classic Auctions may, at its discretion, share their information with other auction houses or print it in the next catalog.
