Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Remembered as the “Show-Me Series” as both participants hail from Missouri, the 1985 World Series featured an underdog Kansas City Royals club led by George Brett defeating the especially strong and favoured St Louis Cardinals. Going the full seven games, the Royals would crush the Cards 11-0 in the final contest to claim their first Fall Classic victory in franchise history. We have a baseball signed by the World Champion Kansas City Royals. A Rawlings Official American League Bobby Brown ball, 27 have signed in matching ballpoint, including Brett, along with Dick Howser, Jim Sundberg, Willie Wilson, Frank White, Bret Saberhagen, Dan Quisenberry, Hal McRae, Jorge Orta and others. The signatures display well with the ink currently appearing grey in colour, with just moderate overall toning to the ball. An LOA from JSA will accompany.
