Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

In gorgeous, difficult-to-hope-for-nicer condition for display purposes is this delectable Shirriff coin collection, with two aspects especially striking the beholder; the uniform "whiteness" of the backgrounds of the coins and the shields' near perfect condition. The fragile plastic holders almost always feature edge cracks, with the lone crack here, at the lower tip of the Canadiens example, patched/repaired. The shields have not been pierced at the top, (for hanging purposes), with the exception of the Rangers; a small blemish is on the front, while the back shows subtle evidence of being filled-in/repaired. The coins are pretty much like-new, with light blemishes affecting 34-Red Hay. To be aware of though, is that they've all been solidly/neatly glued-in; there will no removing them. A couple of glue specs are spotted on the shields around the edges of 32-Wharram and between 66-Howe and 71-Litzenberger, but again, this is one beautiful and inviting assembly.
There is also a similar subtle "line" of glue between 71-Litzenberger and 70-Delvecchio to mention.
