Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A two-way forward known for his penalty-killing ability, Rick Meagher captained the St Louis Blues for a single season in the late-1980s while also securing the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the league's top defensive forward. We have a Blues jersey worn by the Belleville native in 1986-87, his second season with the club. With no labeling along the collar and “41” handwritten, the jersey measures-out to roughly a size 50, with a CCM crest with * over the reverse hem. Featuring a rubberized Blues team crest, all numbers and identifiers have also been rubberized, including the “22” over the sleeves and verso. An LOA will accompany.
The jersey shows heavy wear, with numerous puck and stick marks over the lower front. There are also heavy team repairs over each sleeve, with blue paint transfer over the left shoulder and sleeve. The rubberized identifiers are also peeling/flaking, especially over the sleeves and reverse numbers.
