Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
The 6th overall draft choice in 2007, Sam Gagner would spend seven seasons in Alberta with the Oilers before single-season campaigns with Arizona, Philadelphia and Columbus. From his lone season in Ohio, we have a Blue Jackets jersey worn by the London native in 2016-17. A label with “54” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok patches on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with an attractive red, white and blue team crest with embroidered detailing, “89” appears over the sleeves and verso in white-over-red tackle twill, with alternate patches over each shoulder and the NHL centennial crest on the lower right sleeve. Exhibiting nice use, there are board burns with a few small resulting holes over the right elbow, along with a trio of team repairs. There is also some pilling to the interior beneath the fight strap. A MeiGray patch numbered “N01109” resides over the inside hem along with the team patch, and according to their population report, the garment is a "Blue Set 2 w/ NHL Centennial Patch" example. An LOA from the Blue Jackets will accompany.
