Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Going back to the days when Eddie Shore was the NHL’s top bruiser, we have a pair of leather hockey gloves from the 1930s. In solid brown leather with lighter-coloured sections over the knuckles, the gloves have no labels or makers marks, with wooden dowels used over the wrist guards. The vintage gloves show heavy use with considerable rubbing taking place, with a piece of leather added to reinforce the inner wrist padding on the left glove. The palms also show some wear, with a few separations along the finger joints, with a couple repairs between the finger joints on the left glove.
