Awesome 1983-84 New Jersey Devils game-worn white mesh home jersey was worn by forward Paul Gagne in the fourth of his six seasons with the franchise. The Colorado Rockies’ first-round pick in 1980, Gagne moved with the team to New Jersey and wore this fantastic green, white and red gamer in the Devils’ second season, when he had 14 goals and 32 points in 66 games. A CCM flag tag hangs below the Gerry Cosby tagging in the back of the neck. The CCM patch with the asterisk and Cosby tagging sewn on the rear hem are inside the customized “hemmed-up” tail, which has a green-thread team repair on the upper stripe on the front. Two customized fabric fight straps hang inside the back. Comes with an LOA.
More game wear shows in marks on the awesome triple twill Devils crest on the front, a board burn below the “1” on the left sleeve, a small reddish-brown stain below the “7” on the same sleeve, and a small yellowish stain between those numbers, a few light black marks on the front of the upper right sleeve, and a thin mark on the green stripe on the right front hem.
The included LOA states that the nameplate isn't original to the jersey because it is of a lighter tone than the body of the jersey but mention we can't spot evidence that the jersey had a former nameplate
