Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Celebrating the trio of consecutive Stanley Cup championships won by the Toronto Maple Leafs during the early-1960s, we have a rarely-seen display tray that was presented to netminder Don Simmons, with these specimens only gifted to the players and staff. At 15” in diameter and covered with a gold finish, an engraved Leafs logo graces the center, with “Stanley Cup Champions 1962-63-64” beneath, with “Golden Fantasy” stamped over the reverse, along with “Hand Wrought” and “Made in Canada”. A small loop is affixed over the reverse to facilitate hanging, with a number of surface blemishes and scratches present over both the front and reverse, with the tray displaying nicely overall. An LOA from the Simmons family will accompany.
