Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A standout with the Montreal Canadiens during the 1960s, J.C. Tremblay later served the Quebec Nordiques throughout the full length of their tenure in the WHA, with his 358 assists in the rebel league placing his in second spot all-time. From the final season of WHA hockey in Quebec which also served as the swan-song campaign for Tremblay, we have a Nordiques jersey worn by the Bagotville native, in 1978-79. Currently void of any collar labeling, the vintage white mesh sweater measures-out to roughly size 48. Featuring the classic Nords team crest, all identifiers have been heat-pressed on, including the crest, sleeve and verso numbers and “Tremblay” across the affixed nameplate. The jersey also sports heat-pressed fleur-de-lys emblems over the lower front, reverse and shoulders.
A few puck and stick marks cover the front, with a few additional marks over each sleeve and some minor discolouration over the left elbow. There is also a bit of wear and material loss to the reverse “3”.
