The Vancouver Canucks pulled off a coup when GM Brian Burke traded up to acquire the second overall pick in the 1999 NHL draft. The Canucks were able to select Daniel Sedin followed by his identical twin brother Henrik with the No. 3 pick they already held! Daniel Sedin’s 2000-01 Canucks Jofa ASD game-used stick is from his rookie season. Daniel recorded 34 points in his NHL debut on his way to 1,041 points in 17 seasons with Vancouver. “Sedin Daniel” is stamped on the shaft below his original tape job on the knob. Sedin’s original white tape job on the blade has worn through most of the bottom edge from the heel to the middle. Game use shows in various marks and some red goalpost paint transfer on the shaft.
