Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
The eighth game played in the Winter Classic series thus far, the 2016 match featured longtime Original Six rivals the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins, with the Habs disposing of the boys from Beantown 5-1, in front of over 67,000 spectators at Foxborough, Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium, on New Year’s Day. We have a collection of items signed by Canadiens, with 8” x 10” photos signed by Mike Condon and David Desharnais, Winter Classic jerseys signed by PK Subban and Jeff Petry, and pucks signed by Desharnais, along with Torrey Mitchell and Brendan Gallagher. The jerseys were both produced by Reebok and are size “L”, with felt crests and numbers, mimicking the examples used by Montreal from 1922-25. Both Subban and Petry have signed within the reverse numbers, with no issues for the signatures. The photos have both been beautifully signed in blue sharpie, with each adding their number, with holograms from the NHL affixed to each. The pucks are all matching with Winter Classic logos, with holograms over the reverse, with each signing in blue sharpie. An LOA will accompany from Classic Auction for the entire lot, with a second LOA for the Subban jersey.
