Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Spending 11 seasons with the Habs before his shocking trade to Colorado, Patrick Roy would continue his winning ways in Denver, with the Conn Smythe Trophy won along with 5 All-Star Game appearances post-Montreal. We have a single goal pad (left leg) that was produced for the superstar but never worn, along with a signed Avalanche jersey. The jersey was produced by KOHO, with “L” sizing along with tackle twill numbers and identifiers, with “Roy” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. St Patrick has signed the first reverse “3”, with the signature displaying well. The pad was also produced by KOHO, with the Revolution model in Aves colours sporting a cloth patch and sewn-on identifiers.
The jersey remains in wonderful condition with the original point-of-sale tags still attached, with no issues for the signature. The pad is from circa 1996-98 and shows a few marks present, with a similar model worn by Roy during his time with the Aves.
