Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
An iconic design in the pantheon of mask making, we have a caramel colored “pretzel” mask manufactured by Jacques Plante's Fibrosport company in the 1960s - the first model made by the manufacturer, with this specimen originally displayed at Simmons Sports store. At approx 9” from the top of the head to the chin, the strapping is original to production, with no interior padding intact. Moderate wear is present on the adult-sized mask, with scratches and surface wear visible, with no cracks or breaks. There is also some minor rusting to the metal buckles.
