This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Celebrating the international game, we have a large lot featuring desirable Team Canada memorabilia, including items from the historic Summit Series in 1972. First, we have a pair of Team Canada jerseys signed by Paul Henderson, this is followed by a set of six Canada Cup posters from 1976 (20 ½” x 30”), with the Russian and Canadian posters each signed by three, including Hull and Phil Esposito on the Candian poster. There are also a pair of 1972 posters (24 ½” x 36”) – one for the Soviets and one for the Canadians – with three signing the Russian poster including Tretiak, and thirteen signing the Canadian poster including Henderson, Cournoyer, Gilbert, Mikita and others. Next, we have a 1991 Future Trends card set in its original case from The Bay which includes 17 signed cards, a $20 1988 Calgary Olympics silver coin, a framed Sidney Crosby signed Team Canada photo and much more!
Also included in this large Team Canada lot, we have a 1972 Team Canada team photo (16” x 20”) signed by three with Henderson, Cournoyer and JP Parise (moderate wear and heavy toning), 13 publications including 1976 and 1987 Canada Cup programs, 8 bobble heads including 4 Heritage Hockey Summit Series examples with Cournoyer, Dryden, Henderson and Phil Esposito, a Team Canada Summit Series 40th anniversary wine bottle (empty), a set of 9 IIHF 1986 World Championship pins, 10 newspapers featuring Team Canada covers including for the Summit Series, 4 Team Canada mini-sticks, a 1998 Esso Team Canada Olympic binder, a VHS copy of Gold Rush from 2002 and more. The Henderson signed jerseys include a 1972 replica and “Team of the Century” example, with both signed over the front in black marker, with the replica jersey signature heavily faded. The posters in the collection all show moderate to heavier wear, especially along edges and corners, with the pair from 1972 exhibit heavy toning along with tape residue over each reverse. The $20 silver coin comes in its original box and case, with the coin itself displaying beautifully with no wear. The Crosby signed photo is 8” x 10”, signed in black marker, framed to 18 ½” x 22 ½”. A hologram has been affixed, with a COA to accompany. An additional COA for the Henderson signed Team of the Century jersey will also be included.
