Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Drafted by the Boston Bruins in 1991, Jozef Stumpel would see action in parts of 8 seasons in Beantown, with additional NHL time spent throughout his lengthy career with both Los Angeles and Florida. We have a Bruins jersey worn by Stumpel during his time with Boston’s AHL affiliate club in Providence, circa 1993-94. A CCM label and size “52” fly tag grace the collar, with CCM and Custom Crafted logos over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the spoked “P” team crest similar to Boston's, “22” appears over the sleeves and verso in black-over-yellow tackle twill, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. With evidence visible of a former shorter nameplate, a few dark marks are present over the front and sleeves, with numerous team repairs on and near each elbow, including a large example near the lower right cuff. There is also some errant threading on the first reverse “2”, with a small slit over the front hem.
