Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
From a season that witnessed Second All-Star Team selection in 2005-06, Martin Broduer would also represent Team Canada at the Winter Olympics that spring. Hailing from that very season, we have a desirable stick used by the superstar and all-time wins leader, with this signed CCM Graphite Reinforced Heaton model especially noteworthy as it can pinned down to particular use, specifically a match against the Chicago Black Hawks, on Jan 15th, 2006, a contest won by the Devils in a 3-2 shootout. “M Brodeur” is stamped but light over the upper shaft, with “Chi” handwritten over the white-taped knob (the Devils only played the Black Hawks once that season). The black tape remains on the blade, with just expected light use visible, with a tear to the blade tape and a few marks to the paddle.
Marty has signed over the front side of the paddle in black marker, adding his number, and the signature is a bit light but displays beautifully.
