A riveting image of hockey icon Howie Morenz highlights this stash of Bee Hive photos, with condition issues affecting many of the (81) Group 1 examples. The Morenz photo however is free of major/unsightly flaws, with a very subtle half-inch crease spotted in the photo itself, with creasing and corner/edge wear to the beige backing to report. Morenz is one of 18 Canadiens present, with nine Montreal Maroons and 22 New York Americans also featuring some not-so-common pictures. Condition though is on the lower side, with wear to the backings, some intermittent little "stars" pasted in the bottom border of some and intermittent photos additionally glued to the lower part. Most noteworthy Americans are Emms, Klein, Shields, Thurier and Watson. Among nine Bruins are Shore, Don Gallinger and Jack Schmidt, while Maroons notables are Connell and MacKenzie. Joliat and George Allan Brown are Canadiens to mention, with a Foster Hewitt mixed-in with 22 Maple Leafs, none of which are considered scarce. .....The Group 3 contingent is over one hundred strong, with approximately half being in the EX neighborhood and joined by lesser lights. Almost all of 14 Rangers have a two-digit number penned to front, with a few taped, some with similar writing and other creased pictures showing up. Other team totals are Boston - 10 (Parent), Chicago - 28 (Stanfield and two different of both Esposito and Bobby Hull), Detroit - 22, Montreal - 17 (Maurice Richard) and Toronto - 23.
