Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
One of the postwar era's most popular and coveted rookie cards, that featuring left winger and scorer extraordinaire Bobby Hull, leads this Topps assembly, with card #66 graded VG-EX 4 and featuring, not perfect but pleasing centering. Wear at the corners, more noticeable on the bottom two, is to mention. Also recently encapsulated by PSA and receiving a mark of EX-MT 6 is #8-Gordie Howe, while an Eddie Shack RC is slabbed EX 5. Among the raw rest, VG-EX to EX examples look to dominate, with some EX-MTs also present, along with lesser lights. Most notable are 2-Sawchuk (creases, "57" in pen on the reverse), 39-Worsley (minor glue/paper on the back), 13-Hall (VG) and 65-Ullman (VG). Ten others are VG or less, including 1-Armstrong (VG) and 14-Wharram RC (G). An EX 40-Bucyk is mentionable, as are a dozen with likely removable wax stains on the fronts. A decent, mostly mid-grade set awaits the high bidder.
