Defeated in the second round of the playoffs by the eventual Stanley Cup-champion Pittsburgh Penguins, the Washington Capitals were Southeast Division champions in 2008-09, finishing 2nd in the Eastern Conference. From the 2008-09 campaign, we have a goal mask signed by the Caps squad. A Franklin GFM100 model with a Washington motif and team emblems over the lower front sides, chin and forehead, 23 have signed in gold paint pen, including Ovechkin, Bradley, Sloan, Steckel, Erskine, Jurinca, Gordon, Laich, Bourque and others. The signatures display beautifully, standing out against the darker background. A hologram from CSI has been affixed over the chin, with a COA to accompany. A 14” x 11” x 12” (the base extends) plexiglass display case with a small plaque affixed to the front is also included.
