Issued in Canada, 1922 V61 Neilson's Chocolate cards constitute one of the more popular Canadian candy card issues among American collectors since the cards are similar to the American Caramel E120 release, a favorite among hobbyists. There are two different versions, with all of the examples here featuring a card number on the lower front (Type 1). Low grade condition is to report with the thin stock cards, with Hall of Famer 44-Waite Hoyt leading the low-on-stars lineup. The card of the Yankee pitcher is one of six examples which present the best at P-F with no real unsightly heavy creases/flaws, the others being 9-Ed Rommel, 24-Sylvester Johnson, 36-Frank Davis, 51-Frank Ellerbe and 54-Carson Bigbee. Minor paper loss on the reverse of the Waite card is to mention. With heavier creasing/wear and Poor are #s 1-Burns, 3-Zachary, 6-Walker, 17-Rigney, 18-Dauss, 19-Pillette, 23-Bing Miller, 33-Veach, 34-Sheely, 46-Menosky, 49-Gerber, 52-Williams, 67-Bohne, 75-Smith, 83-Wingo, 104-Rapp, 112-Cunningham and 114-Schultz.
