Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Dominant during the early-1970s with back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1974 and 1975, Bernie Parent would secure the Vezina and Conn Smythe trophies both seasons, along with NHL First All-Star Team selection. Hailing from those glory days in Philadelphia, we have a signed Flyers pro-style #1 jersey from circa-1974. Identical to Flyers game jerseys from the period with pin holes left over the reverse numbers as the Flyers’ seamstresses used pins to hold the numbers in place, the material, number style, placement and stitching also matches perfectly. No labeling remains, with just a small size “L” fly tag over the collar. Measuring-out to roughly a size 52 and styled with a canvas team crest with embroidered detailing, the orange durene V-neck has been accented with “1” over the sleeves and verso in dual-colour layered twill. Parent has signed the reverse number in black marker, with the signature displaying wonderfully.
Exhibiting a few random marks, there is moderate fraying to the reverse number along with light staining, with very light puckering to the center of the team crest. There is also a small slit just above the team crest.
