Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
An infielder small in stature, Clem Koshorek served in the US Army during the Second World War, later making his MLB debut with Pittsburgh on April 15th 1952, playing his final game one day short of a full year, on April 14th 1953. From the landmark 1952 Topps release, recognized as the most important set of the modern, post-war era, we have Koshorek’s #380 high-number card, encapsulated and graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Much more difficult to locate than the low-number cards issued in the first five series, the high-number cards from the final series (#311 to #407) are always on the watchlist of collectors, especially pleasing, mid-to-high grade examples. Fairly well centered with bold colours, the card displays beautifully for the assigned grade.
