Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Produced in similar fashion to the career tribute rings which former Habs greats received long after their careers were over and celebrating the Montreal Canadiens 1944 Stanley Cup championship, we have a 10K gold and diamond ring that was presented to legendary Hall of Fame member Elmer Lach. Size 10 with an approx weight of 24 grams, a raised Stanley Cup sits centered over the tableau, encompassed by diamonds over each side, with “Montreal” and “Canadiens” sloping above and below respectively, with four additional diamonds placed along each side of the second band. The right shank feature’s a Habs logo with “E. Lach” engraved above and “16” below, with a raised and detailed image of the Montreal Forum on the left shank, with “Coupe Stanley Cup Champions” and “1943-44” placed above. Marked "Replica" inside to indicate the ring was produced later as the players did not receive rings back in 1943-44, the inner band is also stamped “Jostens” and “10K”.
Just light wear is visible throughout, with no unsightly marks or chips. The original Jostens box is also included.
