Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019

An all-Topps offering to consider here, with only a Howe card needed to complete a 1971-72 set. The Dryden RC is crease-free, but off-centered and measures short, while 100-Orr has staples holes. The checklist is marked but few creases among the rest which look to average EX. Also close to completion is a ’73-74 stack, with most everything in the VG-EX to EX+ range, but with a creased (unmarked) checklist. A Mike Bossy RC is VG with a light crease, with nine cards required to complete his ’78-79 set and EX-MTs and NMs dominating those present. A complete 165-card set of ’84-85s has intermittent light corner touches and is right around EX-MT (that’s what the Yzerman RC is), with an ’88-89 assembly EX-ish and missing three, including the Hull rookie. Hundreds of others from the ‘70s are also in the mix, with further details/photos on our website.
A little over 100 cards from ’69-70 are mostly commons but with a few Hall of Famers and crease-free VG+ and VG-EX cards dominating. VG to VG-EX show up the most often in 150+ from ’70-71, with Orr (G-VG) and a Brad Park RC (EX+) the most notable. Some intermittent lesser/brighter lights but mostly VG to EX cards among approximately (300) ’71-72 representatives, with another "short" Dryden RC (o/w EX) and duplication to mention, along with some decent star power. Some neat different poses/photos also among some (400) ’72-73 entries, with similar conditions observed, along with duplication at times heavy and two second-year Lafleurs present. Three Billy Smith rookies (2 VG-EX, VG) highlight six dozen ’73-74s, while a small ’74-75 lineup features crease-free VG-EX or EX rookies of Potvin, McDonald, Salming and Don Cherry. Overall rougher are a couple of hundred from ’75-76 but with duplicates of Orr, Lafleur and a few other stars. Like we like to say "lots of possibilities" with this stash.
