Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Talk about passing the "torch" to capable hands, Jean Beliveau and Henri Richard, who helped the Canadiens to Stanley Cups in the 1950s and '60s, saw Ken Dryden and Guy Lafleur contribute to six Cup titles in the '70s, with the rookie cards of the latter two offered here. The key rookies in O-Pee-Chee's 1971-72 set, the Dryden and Lafleur examples here feature pleasing centering and are graded 7.5 NM+ and 7 NM respectively by KSA. Dryden had already backstopped the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup the previous season, while Lafleur was under pressure to replace Beliveau when these two cards were pulled from wax packs. Terrific chance to score both with one swoop.
