With countless pucks shot into the back of nets throughout the Habs century plus of existence, we have a considerable rubber collection featuring the Montreal Canadiens, with a number of earlier and desirable NHL examples included. Totaling 39 and highlighted by a Spalding puck from the 1930s - with this model seeing use in the NHL and preceding the later Art Ross examples, there are also a pair of Ross NHL pucks from the first series used from 1942-50, along with two 1958-62 Canadiens examples - with these the first to feature team logos. Next, we have five Habs game pucks from 1969-73 - with rubberized Converse logos, six Montreal Viceroy game pucks with rubberized logos (1973-83), a pair of NHL practice pucks with rubberized logos (one from 1962-64, the other, from 1964-67), vintage Habs souvenir pucks and more!
The remaining pucks include a 1960s American League practice puck, three 1970s NHL practice pucks, a trio of 1970-73 Canadiens practice pucks, one 1980s NHL practice puck, a Rawlings Canadiens puck and more. The souvenir pucks include a trio of 1967-68 Converse “Large Font” Habs pucks (all blank-backed), a pair of Cooper Habs pucks (1981-85), a 1980s Sher-Wood Canadiens puck and a few others. The condition varies within the collection, with most of the earlier pucks exhibiting heavier wear including to the logos. The Spalding puck has wear/fading to each of the logos, with a circular indentation on one side of the puck, along with a few cuts and general wear. The 1942-50 Art Ross pucks both show just a bit of wear to the logo, with one having a large gouge, the other in excellent condition.
