This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
A trio of vintage AHL/EHL documents are offered, including a 1966-67 Springfield Indians coaching contract for Harry Pidhirny signed by legendary Hall of Fame member Eddie Shore. Included with the Indians contract, we have a Jacques Plante Baltimore Clippers Standard Assignment Agreement for 1965 twice-signed by HOFer Emile Francis, and a Les Binkley Baltimore Clippers Player’s Contract for 1956-57. The Plante Agreement is with the Baltimore Clippers club that were members of the AHL from 1962 to 1976, while the Binkley contract is with the Baltimore Clippers team that played in the EHL from just 1954, to the relocating to Charlotte in 1956 after the arena in Baltimore burned down. The Indians contract is handwritten on Springfield Hockey Association letterhead and dated “Sept 16/66”, with a salary listed of $6500.00 plus bonus, with Shore signing beneath the body of text in ballpoint, with absolutely no issues for the bold and flowing autograph. With just light toning and a pair of original fold lines, there is also an unobtrusive vertical fold line along the left side. The Plante Agreement is dated for June of 1965, with stamps from the Central Registry along with red ink notations. Francis has signed twice in ballpoint, with both signatures displaying perfectly. Just light handling/edge wear and toning are present, with staple holes along the top. The Binkley contract calls for the netminder to earn $160.00 weekly throughout 1956-57 with a few bonuses also listed, with Binkley signing in black ink along with Clippers coach Andy Brown. Numerous fold lines are visible along with toning, with a small section heavily toned/discoloured over the reverse. An LOA from the Shore family will accompany for the Indians coaching contract.
