Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

Decent batch of ever-popular 1964-65 Topps cards is dominated by examples with light to moderate corner wear, with VG-EXs showing up the most often, with however several of the key and star cards in lesser condition with creases. A crease-free Gordie Howe card at VG-EX+ is notable, while the rundown on the short prints and other stars is as follows: From the 1st Series are Hall, Mikita and Beliveau SP at VG-EX while rookie cards of 1-Martin and 47-Crozier are VG, with 48-Richard G. Low grade (F, with creases) are 6-Sawchuk and 20-Hull SP. Second Series cards tend to be a tad nicer, with a few EXs joining the VG, VG+ and VG-EX lineup and 73-Maki best among the SPs at EX. VG short prints are 72-Dornhoefer RC, 74-Villemure and 98-Hicke, with 58-Williams and 80-Rousseau at G, 59-Pilote and All-Star cards of Horton and Mikita at F and 91-Nesterenko and 92-Paille RC Poor. Hull All-Star (VG+), 68-Plante (P) and 102-Horton (F) are to note, with checklist #54 marked (P), while the unmarked #55 checklist is F. A colorful mix of conditions to consider.
