Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Early example of a Ray Bourque gamer in this Sher-Wood PMP 5073 used circa 1981. We spot Raymond using this model during the 1981 playoff series against the Nordiques and on 1981-82 game photos. Factory-stamped "Bourque 7" up on the shaft near Ray's typical aged white knob tape job. White Glasfibre inserts run the length of both sides of the shaft and the blade is wrapped in heavy black bulldog tape, some of which has gone missing over the years. A single nail hole runs from the front through to the back, about mid-shaft. Lots of game use here as the blade bottom shows wear and stick and puck marks appear along the blade and partway up the shaft.
