Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Awarded annually to the NHL goaltender that is "adjudged to be the best at this position", the Vezina Trophy - named for Canadiens’ legend Georges Vezina - was first awarded in the 1926-27 season to George Hainsworth. We have a stunning photo of the famous trophy, and it’s been signed by 18 past recipients. At 16” x 20”, the glossy print features a full colour image of the award, with signatures on each side administered in blue sharpie, with each listing their respective winning season. Included from top to bottom, left to right are Fuhr HOF, Smith HOF, Bower HOF (d. 2017), Hodge (D. 2016), Vachon HOF, Giacomin HOF, Vanbiesbrouck, Herron, Sevigny, Sauve, Roy HOF, Parent HOF, DeJordy, Esposito HOF, Hasek, Hextall, Hall HOF and Ed Belfour HOF. The signatures display well, with just a small crease over the upper left corner. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
