Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Winner of the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 1999-2000, Curtis Joseph was the first goaltender in NHL history to have 30 or more wins in a regular season for five different teams. The Sharon native was also a gold medal winner with Canada at the 2002 Winter Olympics. We have a signed stick used by Joseph, with this model stick used circa 1999-01. This example was gifted from the superstar directly to our consignor, Ken Daniels. A sportscaster with CBC from 1985 to 1997, Daniels is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit. A Bauer R6000 model in Leafs’ blue with white accents, “Cujo” has been stamped to the upper shaft along with a factory code on the underside, with the original white tape intact over the blade, paddle, handle and knob. Great use is exhibited, with rips to the blade tape as well as a loose strand at the toe, with wear to the underside of the blade. There are also puck marks and wear to the shaft, including some blue paint transfer. Cujo has signed over the front side of the paddle in black marker, with the signature quite light, most likely due to a weak marker. An LOA from Ken Daniels will accompany.
