An absolute treasure trove of pertinent hockey information, stats and figures, we have an especially large and diverse hockey guide collection totaling approx. 206, with an additional 60 Hockey Digest issues from the 1970s to 1990s. Focusing on the NHL, other leagues are represented including international, with the collection ranging from the 1940s right up until the 2000s. We have 51 NHL Official Guides ranging from 1967-68 to 1983-84 including a continuous run with duplication, 14 NHL Rule Books ranging from 1977-78 to 1996-97, 27 NHL Media Directories from 1973-74 to 2001-02, NHL All-Star Game guides for 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2000, NHL Draft Guides for 2001 and 2002 and a rarely-seen NHL Officiating Guide (for referees) from the 1970s. Next, we have general hockey guides from Spalding for 1951-52, 1952-53, 1953-54, 1961-62 and 1964-65, followed by The Sporting News guides for 1973-74 (2), 1974-75, 1976-77 (2), 1977-78 and 1982-83 along with The Sporting News Registers from 1972-73, 1973-74, 1974-75, 1976-77 (2), 1977-78 and 1982-83. Other interesting examples include SAHA (Saskatchewan) guides for 1941-42, 1946-47, 1947-48, and 1948-49, CAHA Handbooks for 1964 and 1968, AHAUS guides for 1946-47, 1954-55 and 1967, a Maritime Amateur Hockey Association Handbook for 1949-50 and a WHL Rule Book and Schedule for 1962-63. The European guides total approx. 42 and include 23 IIHF Yearbooks from 1976 to 2000, along with a pair of Swedish-language guides from 1978-79 and 1979-80. The majority of the guide’s exhibit just expected handling wear from use, with some of the larger volumes experiencing heavier wear, with the odd crease, fold or bent cover. Also included, we have 6 large binders filled with stats from the 2000-01 NHL season, along with an additional 4 binders, with one featuring copies of Team Canada media releases from the 1980s, two have stats from Jim Hendy guides (1910-42 all leagues) and one binder having stats from the WHA.
