This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
A product of the Russian Superleague's Krylya Sovetov Moscow, Ivan Novoseltsev was drafted in the fourth round – 95th overall – by the Florida Panthers in 1997, spending parts of 5 seasons in the Sunshine State. We have an elaborate trophy celebrating Novoseltsev’s first NHL goal, and it was gifted to his agent. At 18” in height, a large metal player sits mounted over a 7” x 14” black wooden base with bronze top, with a mounted 13” x 15” back mirror with engraved details including “First Goal”, “Ivan Novoseltsev” and both the date of “October 13, 1999” and the victim, Curtis Joseph. The Maple Leafs pucks presumably used to score the goal is mounted within the back glass, with the wooden hockey stick broken and having area of glue residue. There is wear to the wooden base, especially along edges, with numerous scratches over the bronze base.
